Mr. Green
Hello all, I'm the math and science teacher, here at Indus School. I have taught grades ranging from 3 to 12, giving me a unique perspective of student growth. I aim to ensure students are aware of where they have come from, and most importantly, where they need to go in their education. I'd also like to point out that I am a special needs learner. I have a learning disability in reading and writing (formerly called dyslexia). It takes me a long time to read written work and I commonly have difficulty with spelling words, and recognizing the sounds of letters. I also commonly make errors in writing out numbers and letters, so I do my best to have all work I do in class typed in advance, to be certain there is as few errors as possible. As a teacher I firmly believe in leveraging the best technology for the various tasks of instruction. If that is a traditional labratory with pen and paper analysis of results or a blended lesson using the internet combined with stand and deliver teaching, I'm always seeking to reach students where they are in their learning path. In my experience, blended lessons have the greatest potential to provide information to students where they are and help them to meet learning goals for their grade. I am also the coach for Ultimate at the school. Indus currently holds 4 Chapionship titles; the 2019 Calgary JH Champions, both 2019 Edmonton Spirit of the North JH division and JH spirit champions, as well as the 2019 JH Provincial Champions.
